Streptavidin on Glass

Streptavidin coated microscope slides and cover slips have the streptavidin covalently attached to both surfaces by a proprietary process.  This process results in extremely uniform coating of the surface and great stability.  The surface will easily and irreversibly bind biotinylated molecules. If the biotinylation is directed to one end of the molecule, or if biotin is added to one end of a probe during synthesis, the molecule will be attached a one end, leaving the molecule out in the solution where it can readily hybridize with the complementary molecule.

We have available from stock standard clear microscope slides 25 x 75 mm,1 mm thick and glass cover slips 22 x 40mm, number 1 1/12.   We can also add streptavidin  on any other size and configuration that is commercially available to create a custom product. We have created this surface on cover glass ranging in size from 12 mm circles to 24 x 60 mm rectangles. We have also reacted small glass chips and beads.    Please call or email with your specific needs.

The products are coated on both sides, so they can be used either way.
