The manual microarrayer is a simple inexpensive benchtop device suitable for creating microarrays in every laboratory. It has
provision for holding 2 microscope slides simultaneously and up to 768 spots can be deposited on each slide. It requires no
external power source since it is a mechnical manually operated system.
The microarrayer consists of two parts: an indexer to
control the position of the spots and a printer head which contains pins which deposit the solution onto the microscope slide.
There are two printer heads available. One has 8 pins, spaced to fit a 96 well source plate. The other has 32 pins designed
for use with a 384 well source plate. Each pin will deposit 6 nl of fluid in each spot.
The indexer has a unique design
that precisely controls the position of the printing heads and can move in two directions.
Along with the microarrayer,
we also offer a wash station which makes it easy to wash the pins in the printer head without damaging the pins by hitting the bottom
of the wash vessel.
